Offline or Online Training - Which One Suits You The Most

Offline training has been in the picture for a very long time and served its purpose for being there in good manner. However the recent times has seen an upsurge in the online training mode. A number of eminent companies like Stanford online, Udemy, MIT open course and many more have enabled large numbers of professionals to get trained in top courses from some of the best experts in the world and that too at a very low cost. It is now possible to learn anything and also from anywhere.

The Offline Mode

Offline mode is a way where active participation is possible and direct interaction among students and faculties is facilitated. This promotes better levels of concentration. It is easier to communicate the very essence of the subject to the students.

The deficient areas that prevails among the students can easily be judged and rectification or improvements can be made accordingly. It has been seen that the performance of students is better when trained in an offline mode due to the existence of competition. Connecting with the people who are to be in the similar kind of profession is possible when training follows an offline mode. Getting to experience the learning process with peers around has a rejuvenating effect on the very mind and memory. Attention can be given to each student as a batch contains only a limited number of students. For instance, an IT Training Institute in Kolkata which offers both online and offline training has found that students opting for an offline mode gathers more experience and knowledge as compared to the ones who go in for an online mode.

However there are some cons associated with the offline training process. Unlike online training which is more cost effective, offline training is expensive. The factor of flexibility of time is not there which poses a problem for working professionals.

The Online Mode

Online training keeps up the pace with offline training and offers a number of benefits. Offline training mode permits location independent facilities of learning, one can learn or teach from anywhere in the world. Also the recordings of the classes come in as a treasure as they can be accessed at any point of time. Learning from eminent faculties is possible when getting trained in an offline mode.

Some major drawbacks of online training lies in the fact that the level of concentration for the students is extremely low and it becomes difficult for the teacher or the trainer to understand the learning behaviour of the student. In the absence of competition, the entire process of learning gets slower. As per research, performance degradation has been observed in the absence of peers and time limits.
